Our Team

The principals of T-Link in Hong Kong and in the U.S. have nearly 100 years of combined sourcing and quality control experience in Asia. Brief bios of our key associates are below.

M. Ismail

M. Ismail has had over 30 years’ experience in quality control and sourcing in China. Prior to founding T-Link in 1999 he was in a variety of quality management positions with Asahi Corporation (HK) Ltd. a Division of CASIO Computer Company. There he promoted through a number of positions including Plant auditor, Asst. QC Manager and Quality Control Manager. Prior he had been a Plant Supervisor, Manufacturing Engineer and Project Engineer for Swiftronics in Hong Kong. He attended Summerville College and The Open University of Hong Kong.

Jim Twerdahl

Jim Twerdahl served as the president and/or CEO of three well-known consumer electronics brands:
Jensen Sound Laboratories, JBL Incorporated, and Marantz Company. He was also a senior vice president and director of Harman International Industries. He has worked with factories in Japan, Korea, Taiwan, Hong Kong and China sourcing a variety of technically complex products. He has a BA in Economics from Trinity College and an MBA in Marketing from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.

Alex Yu

Alex Yu has had over 10 years’ experience in supervising and developing LAN and WAN office automation software. He also has extensive networking experience building and maintaining a wide variety of systems: Novell, Windows NT, Microsoft Exchange Server, IIS Web Server, SQL servers and backup systems. Ales was also actively involved in system development and maintenance reporting on trading systems using COBOL in HITACHI Minicomputers. For the past 13 years he has had a variety of experience as merchandiser and purchaser of products in China as well as providing services in quality assurance and inspection for various Japanese and Hong based companies. He has diploma in computer science.
